“Between stimulus and response, there is a space. In that space lies our freedom and our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our happiness.”

Abstract Background

Benefits

A study showed that participants who practiced intune one time for 15 minutes reported an increase in relaxation and enjoyment compared to simply listening to music alone. Furthermore, intune was just as effective as a standard mindfulness exercise in reducing rumination and stress. These findings remained consistent regardless of musical style or genre. Meaning, participants who meditated with heavy metal experienced stress-reducing effects similar to those who meditated with calm ambient music.
